Generations!

BMX Show

 

A couple of days ago hundreds of school kids packed the Morton Jr. High Gym to see these guys put on the most awesome BMX show. They were super fast, went super high, and did the most fantastic tricks. They even jumped over our principal, which the kids were pretty nervous about. Thanks guys for a great show!

We Remember.........

Flags are flown at half mast today in memory of the tragedy of the attack on the World Trade Center in NYC.  September 11, 2001. Many schools helped remember this at assemblies across the nation. We will never forget the men and women who have risked their lives to fight for our country. Thank you. And we will never forget the men and women who lost their lives that fateful day.

YAY! Almost 10!

To be ten again and have not a care in the world. These two crack me up every year!

MORTON PRIDE!!!!!

Washington DC or Bust.

Today, the Morton High School Band left for Washington DC to perform in the Jan. 20 inauguration parade for President-elect Barack Obama.

Out of more than 700 bands all over the country, The Morton HS Band was selected.

My niece is in the band, and I am so proud to post these pictures of all the proud families who gathered today to send them off in a sea of cheering and excitement. Good Luck to all of you. We will, no doubt, be glued to our TV sets on Tuesday to hopefully catch a glimpse of our band proudly playing for our country. What an incredible honor and a once in a lifetime opportunity. GO MORTON!
